The Last Supper

Even though I did have a huge celebration on my last Saturday in town, I still had to have my last-official-night-in-Jersey celebration. We went to dinner at my favorite Indian restaurant in Jersey called Kaiyums. It was great because I had less than 10 hours until I had to wake up to catch my plane and we were ordering bottles of wine like they were going out of style. I also still had a tiny bit of packing to do at home, oops! After dinner we met up with more of my Jersey friends at the Royal Yacht for a few more drinks. It was fun, but sad too. I love nights like that and I didn't want this one to end. Unfortunately it did end though, and now I'm back in Florida sweating to death. I miss everyone there, and especially miss my second family! See you guys in November, but everyone else: Come visit me in Florida!

My Last Night In Town!

I had such an amazing night on my last Saturday in town. First, I was taken to the Buddha Bar for a Thai dinner by Gyles and his lovely family. I finally realized, on my last night in town ordering Thai food, that I have no idea how to order Thai. It always comes out way too hot for me. Like Chris said the next morning, I don't think anyone will be running back to that place anytime soon. It was good, but I need more experience with Thai before I go back. After our delicious and mouth-numbing dinner we all met at the Royal Yacht for drinks. Thank you to everyone who came! I couldn't have been more happy with the people who turned up to my last-night-out gathering. I love and miss all of you so much already! I definitely had such a memorable and fun time. Cheers!

A Tribute to the Cinema Group...

This post is purely dedicated to the "Official Members-Only Cinema Group". The original members of OMOCG are: myself, Trish, Beth, Tom Wilson, and Alex Gibb. Of course because of how popular our group became a few jealous stragglers wanted to join in on us the following Tuesdays, which is the day of the week our group meets at Cineworld. Those stragglers, I mean, other members include, but were never limited to: Gyles, Nicola Millner, and Alex Schilalilililay.

The tradition starts off on Tuesdays at dinner time, or tea time as they say here, when we (Trish, Beth and I) have dinner at Partners and then usually, in a mad dash, we head over to Cineworld at the Waterfront for a movie.

The first movie we went to see together as an original group was Sex and The City 2. It was supposed to be just the girls, but Tom and Alex wanted to see it too, so we invited them! And the group was born that night. The other movies we all saw as a group were She's Out of My League and Killers. Because of the number of things we all had to do each week we didn't get to go to as many movies together as we wanted, but the times we did have together were so much fun!

Thank you so much to all of the members and to the staff at Cineworld for always letting Beth get the student rate discount without her student card. Also, special thanks to Richard for always pleasantly and perfectly collecting our tickets as we entered the theatre and flawlessly ripping them in half. We love you. I'll miss our tradition, but I hope the original members, and the late-joiners, carry it on when I'm gone.
